Water Booster System using Goulds Pumps & Programmable VFD's for USAF in Afghanistan Water Booster System using Goulds Pumps & Programmable VFD's for USAF in Afghanistan With a reputation for offering precision metal manufacturing services, S&S Technical was contracted by the United States Military to custom design and build a carbon steel water booster system. This system will be used in a military application in Afghanistan. Based off a customer supplied, 2D print, S&S Technical engineers designed this important military device from scratch, successfully meeting customer specifications. Holding precision tolerances as low as (+/-) .001 of an inch, our metal fabrication engineers used a combination of bending, torch and saw cutting, and MIG and TIG welding to build the skid's carbon steel frame and stainless steel piping. We powder coated the frame to ensure durability in the rugged conditions. The unit possessed VFD controls designed to precisely control water pressure, a multistage vertical centrifugal, and flanged gate valves. With its turn-key layout design, this custom water booster system was delivered to Afghanistan in ready-to-use condition. Successfully meeting our client's high expectations for both quality and design, the United States Military requested S&S Technical to build three separate orders of this product.
