S&S Technical supplies GREEN Removable Insta-Rack platforms for sites where a permanent pedestal cannot be installed. No foundation is required, which makes them the usual answer on leased ground, in bays that may be reconfigured, or where a concrete pour is not worth committing to a position that might change.

A removable platform is usually chosen because the site is changing: a lease that may end, a bay that may be reconfigured, a temporary operation. Where a removable platform earns its place

• No foundation is practical. Leased sites, temporary bays, or ground that cannot take a pedestal footing.
• The access position may change. Bays under review, or operations still settling into a layout.
• A permanent installation is not justified. Seasonal or intermittent loading that does not warrant a fixed rack.
• Speed matters. Installation is a placement rather than a construction project.

Common questions

How is this different from a portable access platform?

A Removable Insta-Rack is a pedestal platform that happens not to need a foundation. A portable access platform is a wheeled unit an operator moves between positions during a shift. Different problems.

Does removable mean less stable?

No. GREEN builds the Removable Insta-Rack on a counter-weighted base designed to stand without a permanent foundation. Specify the ground conditions and we will confirm the arrangement suits them.

Can aluminium be used throughout?

Aluminium models are available, with galvanised back box sections and uprights. It is usually specified where weight or corrosion matters more than cost.
