Compressor Package with Vaporizer & Pump Skid Being Used to Create Vapor Pressure for Railcar Unloading to Cavern Storage or Ships. S&S was asked to develop a solution to eliminate the need to use N2 to pressure up rail cars to assist in pump offloading a multi-car rack of propane or butane. As part of the project S&S designed a pipe bridge extension to connect the new equipment to existing process, utility, communication, cable trays and fire lines feeding the rail rack and provide foundation design for the equipment and new pipe bridge with PE stamp/calculations. The new equipment included a duplex compressor skid with Blackmer NGH100 6 x 6 compressors with 75hp motors, dual fuel vaporizer package with duplex pump skid to feed liquid propane/butane from the cavern to the vaporizer, switch rack with VFD’s, pipe spools, automated valves, controls and programming work as well as startup and commissioning, arc flash study and development of permitting package with SOW, PFD’s, P&ID, GA.
